two dogs in a house is steve summers and ron morelli (l.i.e.s) meanest project to date. rising from the delay saturated muck, pushing the red, straight forward and to the point with no time to waste, these brooklyn dogs started with a simple modus operandi as to make effective, psychedelic tracks that they would want to hear on a proper club system. and you do want to hear dogs anthem in a proper soundsystem. a fat one. rather than a decent follow up to their l.i.e.s. ep, this 12? is an statement by itself, sounding more experimental and raw ?if that?s possible than its predecessor. it evokes chicago, detroit, and industrial records equally, but do not get mixed up: this is a weapon designed to tear dancefloors apart! limited copies , hand numbered.

volta cab has made quite an impact on the nu disco / deep house scene since last year. he is a multitalented, versatile producer, performing brilliantly in a range from from nu disco, deep house, soul, techno to breakbeat. approaching music in an open way, he is not restricting himself to a certain genre, catching the zeitgeist. on serenades, volta cab takes us back to 1992 with a 4 tracker called >house of the rising fire ep<. all of the tracks are heavily influenced by rave and house soundscapes of the early 90s. think of early prodigy, altern8, rachel wallace and baby d, combined with a modern nu disco twist.

daniel dexter is the latest new talent to emerge as part of the poker flat crew. after some success with his strong, futuristic productions on exploited records, the berlin based producer has found a new home in steve bugs modern house magnate. the moody, storming >no house for old men< is a superb example of daniels talents. synth-heavy, dramatic and restrained, this slow burning houser lifts and climbs into spacey, ecstatic moments as its detroit influenced keys and carl craig-esque peaks bring it home. the groovy >who knows motorcity< works a simple yet addictive theme in a powerful pop-house moment, especially designed for summertime evening action. clean, bright percussion and rubbery synths flavour this delightful second course! the deeper, hypnotic tones of >the other day< have an almost soundtrack quality as subtle key changes and detailed sound design take this track into more subterranean realms. melancholic yet positive in its resolution, this is future house music in its prime!
support by: hans nieswandt, baaz, alex agore, marquese, skipson, ynk, big in d_bug...
with his bellefonic ep, drei farben house from berlin creates a remarkable house-disco-hybrid.soul vocals, funky drums, warm basses – it is all there. wide range of accoustic sounds meets specifically selected electronic elements. with his rather classic idea of musicality drei farben house bridges rich soulfulness and slim, reduced funk. beauty and elegance, understatement and indulgence, meoldiousness and pop appeal – thats what this concept is about.tenderpark remains a prime address for softly gleaming pearls which light up in small side streets. about tenderpark: tenderpark is a vinyl label from berlin in quest of warmth and elegance in contemporary house music. lightness and pproachability are the main focus. tenderpark sounds the commonalities and connections between music and fashion. after the first series of record artworks had incorporated a fashion photo, tenderpark has staged a fashion shot for the new records again. this time the label has drawn on the sophisticated clothes of berlin menswear label a.d.deertz to play the main role in the new artwork.

the intermezzo ep kicks off with we are here, which could be easily described as get out part 2. a spoken word vocal over kerris trademark beats and instrumentation, musing on the subject of a busy schedule and calways available technology. so it begins again takes things down a much more tribal road, perfect for a big room, and the dc10 mix is a nod towards the direction kerri had in mind and the dancefloors he created this track for. the dark mix takes this idea even further with a more progressive feel as the track plays out. red lights explores a more live drum feel with a cut-up breakbeat playing a 4/4 rhythm, and a throbbing bassline and synth pattern. this one is a little deeper but still packs plenty of punch!
